How the VASEBRACE™ plant support works!
The VaseBrace™ is the utmost of simplicity for maximum ease-of-use and day-to-day reliability and durability. The product features a tough base made from high impact polystyrene that is produced through a plastic injection molding process. The base is lightweight but has enough thickness to support even the heaviest of potted plants and floral arrangements.
At each corner is an elastic shock cord that has a coated steel clip end for secure attachment. The base has raised ribs that engage on the vase or container base to prevent slippage. The shock cords clips are slipped over the rim of the vase in-line with each corner.
The product comes with 4 adjustable (and replaceable) elastic shock cord assemblies. These cord sets can be ordered in any length you desire.
When you are dealing with vases or pots of various sizes, you may find it necessary to adjust the shock cord to add or remove some length. As the illustration above shows, the bottom of the support has a series of retention slots. The crimped end of the shock cord bears against the inside of these slots when under tension. Simply add or remove shock cord length by choosing one of the retention slots and you can acheive the proper bracing strength required for your vase.
